The first was Hi-De-Hi. The committee sourced a company that hired the yellow coats, however when they arrives, despite the actors measurements being submitted, not one jacket fitted the actors. They were huge and far too huge to be able to just leave them and make do. They also had a number of stains and marks and even a button missing! So I took them all in for each actor by adding simple darts, replaced buttons and gave them a clean and iron. I could not do anything more than that as they needed to be put back to their original state before returning them.
I also had to make a ball room dress of the era with a particularly large hoop for comedic value.
More recently, I have designed and made a costume for their production of 'Toe In The Water', performed in January 2011.
This dress was mentioned in the script as being revealing and diaphanous and was something to be worn by a poolside. The script also makes reference to the character's cleavage which needed to be on display!

Well, we had fantastic reviews for this production including some wonderful comments on my costumes.
